These digitally generated images were produced by combining photographs of flowers and peoples' faces with elements from my traditional works in painting, printmaking, and drawing. The flowers took on a ghostly appearance when combined with visuals from my oeuvre. The ephemeral quality of the images is partially due to the digital processing of the imagery. I believe the overall aesthetic of these works speaks to this present age of accelerated experiences through digital media, which replaces reality with simulacra, remaking the world into images glowing as specters on our screens.
